A 30hrs intense, fun-filled, rewarding convergence of programmers, designers and developers to build something amazing.

VVCE, Mysuru

23rd-24th March

Why should I attend??

Make friends

To make new Friends

Hackathons provide an excellent opportunity for you to build professional contacts and make new friends. With over 100 developers and designers gathering from all over the country, grab your chance of connecting with people to discuss ideas and opportunities.

To Learn

Hackathons help you learn new skills. If you’re newer to programming, you’ll learn how to create a project from scratch, buff out the problems, and present to a panel of judges. Even if you’re already a coding pro, you have an opportunity to enhance your team collaboration and presentation skills.

To Build

How often did you start a small project and never finished it? You will need to cut the scope, take some shortcuts. And you will still be amazed to see what you can finish in such a short period of time. When receiving your award, you feel exhausted but truly satisfied. Like a true marathon winner.

The Thrill

If you haven’t hacked a Hackathon you can’t know the feeling you have. The agitation before. Will you be able to finish something? And the excitement afterward, when you are finished and you have created something. A Hackathon is a challenge that comes with a lot of work, but also a lot of fun and it can be an experience of a lifetime.

To Flaunt Your Skills

Participating in hackathons will help you stand out from the competition and, show that you truly are passionate about coding. Hackathon projects can also be great additions to your portfolio. They can lead to great product creations, which make them a unique opportunity to get in front of industry leaders to showcase your technical skills.

To win Prizes and cool Schwags

Not only will you have the chance to win some cool stuff, but you will also get a cool goodie bag and loads of schwags. And food and drinks will also be for free. Overall it is an event full of rewards.

All the students are welcome to apply, be it school or college. If you are under 18 years of age, we’ll need a parental consent form. If you are not a student you can still be a part as mentor, judge etc. If interested write to us at volunteer@hackonload.com
We’re looking for people who "do"! Folks who are passionate enough to work on crazy world-changing ideas. Tell us what makes you apply to OnLoad, what excites you, accomplishments you are proud of and whatever else you think can strengthen your chances of acceptance. We’ll get to know more about your abilities from the past projects, GitHub profile, participation/awards in other hackathons.
Yes! This hackathon is strictly a team competition. We believe that you’re stronger as a team than you are apart. You can join or create a team once you've started an individual application.
Not to worry, most people don’t! We’ll have team formation and ideation events geared towards helping you find people to work with.
Weapons of any kind, drugs, or alcohol. If you’re not sure whether something will be okay, please ask ahead of time!
If you need any hardware mail or tweet us about it. We will try our best to arrange all your hardware needs.
If you're looking to be a volunteer or mentor (i.e. someone with technical skills who'd be willing to help out participants during the weekend), you should reach out to us at volunteer@hackonload.com. If your company is interested in becoming a sponsor, write to us at sponsor@hackonload.com.
The application portal will be closed on March 1st at 11:59pm IST. We evaluate applications on a rolling basis and acceptances will be sent every weekend via email. The sooner you apply, the better chances you have of acceptance. Once accepted, you’ll have two days to confirm your attendance.
Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Admission to OnLoad is completely free, thanks to our sponsors! We'll provide you with a weekend's worth of schwags, meals, drinks, snacks and a place to crash when you need a break from coding.
You can form teams of up to 3 people. Most teams aim to have a mix of people with both design and developer skills.
A valid government & a college issued photo ID, laptop, phone, chargers, any sleeping equipment you might want (we'll be providing mattresses) and a geeky t-shirt!
No, But we don’t want money to keep you from experiencing OnLoad. If you need help making your way to Mysuru contact us and we’ll see what we can do.
Pretty much everything from socializing with fellow hacker community to internship/job offers from the coolest tech companies. And yeah we’ll have prizes for finalist teams, and many other company sponsored prizes. Most of all, you will gain an unparalleled learning experience and memories for a lifetime!
A panel of some of the judges will evaluate hacks based on creativity, technical difficulty, design, and usefulness. The top 3 overall projects and some selected will demo what they have built in front of all of OnLoad during our closing ceremonies.
Mysore is just 3hr journey from Bengaluru by train/bus. We will send you a detailed guide once you are accepted.
No. In the interest of fairness, students should not be working on their projects before OnLoad begins and we do not allow participants to work on pre-existing projects. However, you can start thinking of ideas and familiarize yourself with all the tools and technologies you intend to use beforehand!
